Monday, Nov. 27
The Emerson College Police Department and the Boston Fire Department responded to a fire alarm at the Hemenway Street Residence Hall. Overcooked food in a microwave caused the alarm. No fire or injuries were reported.
A student walking from the Ansin Building to the Paramount Center reported being followed by an unknown male who only stopped when they entered a local establishment.
ECPD received notification from loss prevention at the Prudential Center that two Emerson students had been detained for shoplifting. The Boston Police Department handled the incident.
Tuesday, Nov. 28
ECPD and BFD responded to the Ansin Building for a fire alarm. The cause of the alarm was undetermined, but there was no fire found.
A student reported harassment to ECPD.
Wednesday, Nov. 29
On two separate occasions while inventorying lost and found property, ECPD found students in possession of fraudulent state identifications. Both cases were given to Community Standards & Student Conduct for discipline.
Friday, Dec. 1
ECPD officers investigated a report of a person holding a brick. Officers found the individual, who reported being robbed in another section of the city and holding the brick for protection.
The brick was confiscated and the BPD were notified.
Saturday, Dec. 2
ECPD and Facilities Management responded to the Piano Row Residence Hall lobby for a water leak coming from the ceiling. FM was able to locate the source and repair the issue.
Sunday, Dec. 3
A person unaffiliated with the college reported being robbed while walking on Boylston Street near Tremont Street. The victim was not harmed during the robbery and BPD was notified.
